Before Washing
- Remove dirt – Brush off mud and sand to avoid clogging your washing machine.
- Close all fastenings – Buckles, zippers, and Velcro should be secured to prevent damage.
- Use a laundry bag – Protects delicate materials and extends the garment’s life.
Washing
- Max 30°C – Wash in cold or lukewarm water to preserve fabric quality.
- Gentle cycle – Use a mild wash program for machine washing.
- Mild detergent only – Avoid harsh chemicals and fragrances that can irritate your dog’s skin.
- No fabric softener – It can damage reflective surfaces and water-repellent coatings.
Note: Hand washing is recommended for raincoats and full-body suits.
Drying
- Avoid tumble dryers – Always air dry to prevent fabric damage.
- Hang to dry – Do not use elastic cords or leg loops to hang, as it may affect the fit.
- Avoid direct sunlight – Especially for waterproof items, as UV rays can degrade the material.
Removing Odors
- Air it out – Fresh air naturally refreshes the garment.
- Freeze trick – Place the garment in the freezer for a few hours to kill bacteria and eliminate odors.
- Vinegar solution – Mix water with a small amount of white vinegar, lightly spray, and allow to dry.
Storage
- Store in a dry, airy place – Make sure garments are completely dry before putting them away.
- Clean regularly – Dirt and oils can wear down fabrics, so keep clothing clean for longer durability.
