About Nordic Tails

At Nordic Tails, we’re a small, dedicated team of dog lovers driven by our passion for four-legged companions and a belief that every dog deserves clothing that truly fits. Our journey began when we, Amanda and Robin, welcomed a Xoloitzcuintle into our lives – a charming but cold-sensitive family member with a slim body and no fur.

We wanted to give her clothing that provided warmth and fit well. But we quickly realized how difficult it was to find well-fitting garments for her in regular pet stores. That’s when the idea for Nordic Tails was born.

The brand grew from a simple insight: the market lacked high-quality, functional dogwear tailored for sighthounds and other slim-bodied breeds. Our journey officially started in February 2021, when our dog Dia became part of the family. As she grew, the challenge of finding clothes that offered full coverage and a proper fit became clear. In 2024, we took the leap and launched Nordic Tails, with a clear mission – to create stylish, functional dogwear specifically for dogs with deep chests and slender frames.

At Nordic Tails, we believe that every dog – regardless of size or breed – deserves clothing tailored to their unique body and lifestyle. That’s why all of our garments are handmade in Sweden using carefully selected, sustainable, high-quality materials. Our goal is for each piece to offer long-lasting durability, a perfect fit, and a balance of comfort and style.

We started small, but with a big vision: to provide dogwear that not only looks good but is practical and built to last – especially for dogs often overlooked by standard sizing. Our collection is always growing, and our inspiration comes from the dogs who need it most.
